Certificate of Occupancy

The City of Thousand Oaks requires all business operating in non-residential building within the City boundaries to obtain a Certificate of Occupancy (in addition to their Business License) for each location. The Certificate is designed to let your patrons know that you are using your facilities as they were designed to be used. You can obtain the application for this Certificate by clicking below or by going to Business Licenses.

Additionally, you may request to obtain information about existing or previous Certificate of Occupancies at a particular location(s) within the City of Thousand Oaks. Please complete the form and return it to the City with your payment. (While we make every effort to complete your request as soon as possible, please allow two to four weeks from the time we receive your request to receive your information.)
